Rijeka, University campus

Dear colleagues,

CroViWo is the first Croatian scientific meeting dedicated to viruses. The meeting is organized by the Croatian microbiological society and will take place in Rijeka, 14th of November 2014. The goal of this one-day event is to connect Croatian and regional virologists from all fields – from fundamental virology researchers in basic medicine, veterinary medicine, agronomy and environmental sciences to researchers in applied virology, clinical research, diagnostics, prevention and treatment of viral diseases.

The official language of the congress will be English. In addition to the keynote lecture by esteemed scientist prof.dr.sc. Luka Čičin-Šain (Helmholz Centre for Infection Research, Braunschweig), additional 14 short talks are planned and will be selected from abstracts submitted by the meeting participants.

Abstract submission has already started and will be open till 15.10.2014.

Congress registration fee will be only 100 kn and can be paid directly at the meeting.

Croatian Medical Chamber has recognized CroViWo meeting and is awarding 10 points for active and 8 points for passive participation.

CroViWo will represent a networking and connectivity platform for virologists in Croatia and region, and participation will provide ample opportunities to meet other fellow virologists, learn about their research, methods, and techniques and engage in successful collaborations.

Looking forward to seeing you in Rijeka!
