Local Attractions

Primošten is situated next to numerous natural and cultural attractions such as national parks, nature parks and thousand-year-old monuments. Additional activities are possible due to the closeness of four Croatian national parks: Paklenica, Plitvice, Krka and Kornati, and two nature parks Telašćica and Lake Vrana, as well the cities Split and Trogir.

Kornati National Park

“Kornati National Park covers a surface of 220 km2 and includes a total of 89 islands, islets and rocks, with approximately 238 km of coastline. Besides this great number of islands, the land part of the park takes up only 1/4 of the total surface, while all the rest is ecosystem. Due to the exceptional beauty of the landscape, interesting geomorphology, great indentedness of the coastline and the particularly rich biocenosis of the maritime ecosystem, most of the Kornati waters were proclaimed a national park.”

Split

“Split, second largest city in Croatia, is the economic and administrative center of Middle Dalmatia, with about 200,000 inhabitants. The site was first settled when, at the end of the third century AD, the Roman Emperor Diocletian built his palace here. The importance of Diocletian’s Palace far transcends local significance because of its level of preservation and the buildings of succeeding historical periods built within its walls, which today form the very heart of old Split. ”
