ECMM Pilot Study Grants Call 2026

To facilitate and contribute to the generation of novel or innovative data in Medical Mycology, ECMM announces an annual Pilot Study Grant Program to start in 2026.

FUNDING LEVEL and THE NUMBER OF GRANTS

A grant of a maximum of 2000 € will be provided to 3 selected investigator-initiated research projects in 2026. The scientific review panel reserves the right to limit the number of annual grants for future ECMM pilot study grant programs according to our financial constraints.

APPLICANT and APPLICATION QUALIFICATIONS

The applicant(s) must be current members of any of the ECMM affiliated national societies.

There are no constraints on the subject area within the field of Medical Mycology that are eligible for application.

APPLICATION

I. Proposal: A proposal of a maximum of 4 pages is expected. The proposal should include:

i) Background and Aim of the Project

ii) Significance and Expected Benefits

iii) Procedures and Study Design

iv) Total Budget

v) References

II. The Project Team:

Short CVs of the Project Leader and the Investigators should be included. Grants awarded to the project leader(s) in the last 5 years and publications of the investigators over this period should be listed.

SUBMISSION of the APPLICATION

The submission files should be emailed to Ecmm@congresscare.com in pdf format.

REVIEW of the APPLICATIONS

The applications will be reviewed by the Scientific Review Panel consisting of ECMM Board Members and two YECMM Board Members.

TIMELINE

Deadline for Submission: 31 January 2026

Reviewing Process: 1 February 2026-1 March 2026

Announcement of the Results: 6 March 2026
