Please take into consideration of the program of the Central European Summer Course Biology of pathogenic Candida species: genetics, genomics, diagnostics. This event is devoted to Central and Eastern European Students in the field of Microbiology. The International Summer Program 2008 will take place from June 30th to July 04th 2008 in Szeged, Hungary. The one week program addresses both the fundamental principles and techniques of molecular biology, genetics, genomics and diagnostics of pathogenic Candida species. Students gain an in deapth knowledge of pathogenic mechanisms, molecular genetics and the biochemistry of important virulence factors. Other topics include phylogenomics as a new way to discover disease mechanisms, host adaptation mechanisms of Candida albicans, epidemiology, molecular typing, analysis of extracellular elements of pathogenic Candida species and much more.
