Poster dimensions

Posters should not exceed the length of 100 cm and the width of 90 cm.

Material for fixing posters on panels will be at the participants’ disposal at the conference site. The poster text should be readable from the distance of 1 meter.

Izložba knjiga iz mikrobiologije

U sklopu kongresa predviđena je izložba knjiga (udžbenika) na hrvatskom i engleskom jeziku vezanih tematikom uz mikrobiologiju. Ukoliko netko zna neku knjigu koja bi se trebala naći na izložbi molimo vas za pomoć da pošaljete svoja saznanja o izdanim knjigama (udžbenicima) navedene tematike i to u razdoblju od 2000 do 2012 godine, na mail: info@hmd-cms.hr. Kongres mikrobiologa otvoren za studente preddiplomskih i diplomskih studija

Na poticaj studenata nekoliko fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu i podrške koju je ideji pružilo zagrebačko sveučilište te pojedini sveučilišni nastavnici iz biomedicinskog i biotehnološkog područja, Hrvatsko mikrobiološko društvo i Organizacijski odbor ovogodišnjeg mikrobiološkog kongresa (5^th Croatian Congress of Microbiology with International Participation, Primošten, 26. – 30. rujna 2012.) odlučili su “otvoriti Kongres” zainteresiranim studentima preddiplomskih i diplomskih sveučilišnih studija.

Naime, odlučeno je da se tim studentima omogući slobodan tj. besplatan pristup na sve kongresne događaje (osim izleta). Prijevoz i smještaj tijekom Kongresa trebaju osigurati sami.

Studenti se mogu registrirati putem on-line obrasca.

Round table on biological hazards in food safety

In collaboration with the Croatian Food Agency, The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Croatia and Noack d.d., the Croatian Society for Mycrobiology will organize round table (in Croatian) on biological hazards in food safety (Biološke opasnosti i sigurnost hrane).

This event will take place on Friday, September 28, 2012 from 10:30 to 13:15h at the conference centre of the hotel Zora.

The deadline for the abstract submission has been further extended until July 15, 2012.

Please, note that the deadline for early registration fee payment has not changed (July 15).

For the abstracts submitted by July 15, the acceptance decision will be sent within one week.

For the abstracts submitted earlier (by June 20), the date of acceptance remains July 5.

FEMS Research Fellows Session

The Croatian Society for Microbiology wishes to acknowledge the contribution of FEMS as a cohesive force in developing the microbiology research in Europe, as well as in Croatia. Young scientists, the recipients or ex-recipients of FEMS research fellowships within the last five years are encouraged to contact the organizing committee before registering to this conference. They will be given a students registration fee option. Depending on a number of participants in this category, some young scientists will be selected (5-10) for oral presentations of their work completed during the FEMS research fellowship duration; others will have a chance to present their work during the poster session. In their presentations, they will be obliged to give a credit to FEMS, as well as their host institutions for supporting their work.
