EMBO supports the Congress

May 10, 2012

We are pleased to announce that EMBO will support  the 5th Croatian Congress of Microbiology with International Participation. Dr. Miroslav Radman will give an EMBO Plenary Lecture entitled “Bacteria-molecular strategies of survival, sex and evolution: 44 years of research”.

EMBO is an organization of leading life scientist members that fosters new generations of researchers to produce world-class scientific results.

Through the expertise and insight of our members, we aim to help create a Europe where top-level life science research thrives.

We support talented researchers, selected through impartial evaluation processes, so that they can go on to do great science with the creativity and passion to answer the unanswered. We provide platforms for scientific exchange and training in cutting-edge technologies so that the high standards of excellence in research practice are maintained. We help to shape science and research policy for a world-class European research environment.

The wide scientific scope across the full range of life science research coupled with the broad geographical reach of our 1500 members and associate members – some of the best researchers in Europe and around the world – positions us to optimally serve Europe’s life science community.
