FEMS Young Scientist Meeting Grant

The Organizing Committee has secured a limited number of a FEMS meeting attendance grants for young scientists, which will be used to support the attendance of microbiologist who are younger than 36. Application form can be downloaded in pdf (acrobat; 37 Kb) or doc (word; 62 Kb) format. Applicants should carefully read FEMS guidelines for grants application and check their eligibility before applying for a grant (http://www.fems-microbiology.org/website/nl/page64.asp). Young scientists meeting grants will be awarded up to a maximum value of 350 EUR per participant. This grant is intended to be used to cover registration fee, accommodation and low budget travel expences.

For those applying for the Young Scientists Meeting Grant, submission of an abstract and motivation letter are mandatory. Selection of the awardees of meeting attendance grant will be based on the quality of the submitted abstract and motivation letter, with all judgments as to quality being in the hands of the local organizers. Applicants are kindly asked to include a short CV and brief summary of their research work in their motivation letter. The deadline for application is 15th May 2008.  We will notify all accepted Participants, including whether they will receive a FEMS Young Scientists Meeting Grant or not, by 15th June 2008. by e-mail.  As described on the FEMS web-site, applications for fellowships should be made directly to the Workshop organizers by posting a completed and signed application form to the following address:
